OUR UNDER 10'S AT LIVERPOOL ACADEMY


Penlake Un 10 was invited to the Liverpool Academy
as part of the FA Charter Standard Community Club coaching day to participate in the
FA Tesco Skills Team coaching morning on the 21st June 09 and throughly enjoyed the coaching session
The session was taken by ex england and Everton womens captain Fara Williams
and at the end all sixteen children received a ball, sticker and other information.
All in all a great day.

PENLAKE JUNIORS FC SOCCER CAMP
Penlake would like to thank all the children who attended the clubs first summer soccer camp
The camp was run over 3 days 13th, 14th and 15th August 08 and accommodated 25 children between the age 0f 6 to 10 years It has been one of the clubs main aims for some time now to provide the children of our community with this kind of facility. The completion of our new changing facility and our coach education programme has now turned a long term vision into reality.

A group of our level one and level 2 coaches willingly gave up their time to introduce children to basic football
skills and how to prepare themselves for physical activity.

All three days were packed with fun exercises and games designed to educate and provide enjoyment for budding footballers. There were also competitions including 6 aside champions’ league and penalty shoot-outs and on the final day every child was presented with a medal for their efforts.
Once again we would like to thank all the children and all the volunteers for making the project extremely enjoyable and hugely successful.
We look forward to seeing you all showing your new skills out on the pitch and hopefully back at Beeches next summer for our next summer soccer camp.

Penlakes’ under 16’s manager will be organising a sponsored dads –v- lads football match in aid of the Claire House Children’s Hospice and the Penlake committee decided that the money raised from our soccer camp will be donated to Claire House
